GILL, Ernest “Ernie”

January 21, 1928 – July 1, 2012

Ernest Gill beloved husband of Doreen Gill of Calgary, passed away on Sunday, July 1, 2012 at the age of 84 years.

Ernie was born in Newcastle, England and immigrated to Canada in 1951 with his family. They raised their family in Toronto and resided there until moving to Calgary in 1988 to be near their family. Ernie loved his life in Calgary and being with his family. He enjoyed his walks in Fish Creek Park where he met many friends.

Ernie is survived by his wife Doreen Gill; son Vic Gill (Mandy); daughter Lorraine Wilson (John); grandchildren, Tyler Wilson, Casey Weller (Kerby), Cory Wilson, Briar Gill and Darren Gill; great-grandchildren, Rylan, Carson, Claire and Molly Weller.

A Memorial Service will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Fish Creek Chapel (14441 Bannister Road S.E.) on Thursday, July 5, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. Forward condolences through
