  2. We are saddened by the news of Lois’ passing.
Lois had a determination and passion for her ideals, as I witnessed at our family dinners, when I was gowing up. Our Dad (Bert Gidley), always enjoyed a good conversation, and always found a lively debate with Lois.
To Dennis and Iain; Don and Ed and families , my condolences.

    Dennis, Iain, and family,
I remember meeting Lois many years ago at St. Thomas United. She was very friendly and welcoming, and had a such a wry sense of humour. She was very good with words and ideas. She struggled for a long time to cope and did. When I learned, after some time away, that it had become even more difficult for her, I was saddened for you all. In your memories of before, and in your heart, may she be with you. My deepest sympathy for you all.

    Dennis and family
Lois was the first friend I had, when we came to Calgary in 1995. We met in a quilting class, but really got to know each other, by visiting and sewing together at home. I knew her to be a warm, caring, creative, and talented lady, and have wonderful memories of our time spent in each other’s company. We know she will be missed greatly by all who knew her. Our prayers and sympathy to all of you.

I am sorry I was never able to meet Lois in person but Ed told me a lot about her. I felt his pain as he told me how much she suffered through her sickness. We prayed for her as we are praying for you also. May God’s peace and comfort be with you during this difficult time. My thoughts will be with you as you remember Lois and celebrate her life.
    God bless you, Anna

  11. Sandra Tucker :

    Dear Dennis, Iain and family,

What a terrific individual! We remember Lois as always having a gentle smile no matter what
life’s circumstances were for her. Lois loved people, she had a passion for dogs (2 of which were
Irish Setters from Ontario–Niagara), as well as an appreciation for the arts. She was also a
gifted craftsperson in her own right. It was a pleasure to have been able to know Lois, and she
is surely a beacon of hope for us all. We send our love and deepest sympathy. God bless.
