It is with deep sadness that Donald and Brenda Ann Taylor offer their prayers and wishes to George at this most difficult time! We loved Pauline so. She brought such joy to us and many happy football memories. Her faith was such an example to us all and her gift as teacher I’m sure, will be felt by so many! Rest in Peace Pauline!

My thoughts are with Uncle George during this difficult time. Auntie Pauline was such a big contributor to our family. From her perfectly decorated dinner table (New Years Day with family & friends being a remarkable way to start each year) to her exquisitely wrapped gifts, Auntie Pauline was a fantastic host, she always made you feel special & wanted. Her guidance and support over the years provided me with strength and resolve to face many difficult situations. Her love & wonderful sense of humour many great memories.

  6. heather campbell :

Dear George, I am so sorry to hear about the passing of your wife. She was my grade 2 teacher in 1965/66. She had such an influence on me. She made me feel like I was someone special. She was by far my favourite teacher. She was so kind to keep in touch with me after all of these years. I think she knew the little girl in me needed to know I was still in her thoughts as she was often in mine. I will truly miss our Christmas correspondence. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Sincerely, Heather Campbell

  7. Wayne Irvine :

    Mr. Garvie,

Like Heather Campbell who wrote the preceding message, I was also a student in your wife’s grade 2 class. She was a wonderful woman who truly had the gift of teaching and in so many ways, she sparked my love of learning. Years after she taught me, she would run into my Mother at mass and always asked about members of our family. For me, she became the “gold standard” that I measured all teachers by, which is why I will always remember her.

My name is Ray Gauthier. I have been teaching for 31 years with the Catholic board and Pauline and my paths crossed at St Bede School years ago. She was an excellent teacher with the little ones and a valued member of the staff. I am sorry for your loss.
