GARRISON, William Lloyd

January 28, 1962 – March 21, 2012

William Garrison beloved husband of Lenora Garrison of Calgary, passed away on Wednesday, March 21, 2012 at the age of 50 years.

Bill enjoyed racing motorcycles in his younger years and teaching kendo at the University of Calgary. “Billy Blue Shoes” loved to play lacrosse, golf, archery and was thrilled to be able to play the drums & guitar with his sons. His love of sports included coaching his sons in various sporting activities. He was a dedicated father, husband and loyal friend. He had such a playful spirit, and was forever, the prankster. Playing cards with him was always interesting, as he was always finding inventive ways to cheat. We will miss his mischievous grin and free spirit.

William is survived by his wife Lenora (nee Kondo), his two sons, Alexander and William, and his brother Jim (Lesley). He will always be missed by his in-laws Don and Nancy Kondo, Debbie (Howard), Blaine (Sharon), Judy (Todd), Barbara (Roy), Tad (Renee), and numerous nieces and nephews.

William was predeceased by his parents Edward and Ruth Garrison.

We would like to thank the doctors, nurses and support staff of the emergency department, ICU and unit 44 of the Peter Lougheed Center. Your generosity and heartfelt support was very much appreciated; we will carry that in our hearts forever.

A Celebration of Bill’s Life will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Park Memorial Chapel (5008 Elbow Drive S.W. Calgary, AB) on Tuesday, March 27, 2012 at 2:30 p.m. Condolences may be forwarded through www.mcinnisandholloway.com If friends so desire, memorial tributes may be made directly to the Canadian Liver Foundation, 309, 1010 – 1st Avenue N.E., Calgary AB T2E 7W7 Telephone: 403-276-3390, 1 (888) 557-5516, www.liver.ca.
