Margaret Gardner passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 30, 2013 at the age of 91 years.
Margaret was born in London, England. She was always bright and cheery, despite having to survive the hardships of World War II. During the war, she married her first husband, Edward Anstee, who predeceased her. She later married Derek, and moved to start a new life in Calgary in 1970. Margaret had a special love of dress-making and cooking, making wonderful cakes and pies. She enriched and cheered those with whom she came into contact with over the years. Missed in particular will be her sense of fairness and openness towards people of varied backgrounds.
She is survived by her loving son Martin (Jackee) Anstee, and her special friends Jean and Norman Senn and Tanya Marrinan.
Margaret is predeceased by her loving husband, Derek Gardner and her sister Mary of Southern England.
Margaret’s family will celebrate her life privately with interment at Queens Park Cemetery at a later date.
