Violet Galan of Calgary passed away on Thursday, January 5, 2012 at the age of 79 years.
Violet was born in Endeavour, SK but spent most of her adult life in Calgary. She was in the R.C.A.F and worked for a law firm, Calgary Elks Lodge and Golf Club and as a commissioner for an oil company.
Violet is survived by her daughter Sue Trefry (Mike), grandchildren Leanna, Kurtis and Kevin, brothers Roy and Joe, and niece Gina (Marcus).
Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S, Chapel of the Bells (2720 Centre Street North) on Tuesday, January 10, 2012 at 3:00 p.m. Condolences may be forwarded through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.

Vi was one of the sweetest people who lived in our building. She was fighter who never gave up regardless of her setbacks and always cared about how everyone else was feeling. I will truly miss her.
