It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father and grandfather on Monday, October 1, 2012.
Jim was born in Pireaus, Greece on October 26, 1929. He immigrated to Calgary in 1956 with his loving wife, Pope, where he started a family and opened his successful shoe making business. He was very much appreciated and respected by his customers and friends. Jim’s Shoe Repair, up until today, has remained a pillar of the Beltline Community.
Jim is survived by his loving wife Pope, his sons Peter (Andrea) and Louis (Teryn), grandsons James and Eric and nephews and nieces who loved him very much. He was a kind, generous and loving man of high integrity. He will always be remembered and missed by many.
Relatives and friends are invited to Prayers and Tributes at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church (1 Tamarac Crescent S.W.) on Friday, October 5, 2012 at 7:00 p.m.
Funeral Service will be held at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church (1 Tamarac Crescent S.W.) on Saturday, October 6, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. Graveside Service to follow at Queen’s Park Cemetery. Condolences may be forwarded through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
