Noriko Fujimoto passed away peacefully on June 18, 2014 at the age of 72 years.
Noriko was born the second child of Toshio and Chieko Seiji on July 16, 1941. She married Satoru Fujimoto in Japan prior to immigrating to Canada in 1967. They made their home on the family farm in Rainier, Alberta where they raised their daughter Colleen until Sat’s untimely death on October 1, 1989. Noriko then moved to Brooks, Bassano and eventually settled in Calgary. Although cancer took her too soon, Noriko lived a full life and she will be sadly missed by her family and friends.
Noriko was predeceased by her husband Satoru and her parents Toshio, Chieko and Ji-chan Seiji. She leaves behind a daughter Colleen and siblings, Etsuko, Kayoko, and Hiro; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
The family has requested a private farewell.
