Josephine (Jean) Frances Frew passed away at the Chinook Care Centre on Monday October 9, 2006, at the age of 92 years.
Jean was born in Sturgeon, P.E.I. She was a dedicated, committed, loving wife, mother and grandmother. Jean gave honour, respect and recognition to everyone. She taught in the Calgary Separate School system until she retired in 1974. Jean was a strong woman of faith; a devoted member of St. Mary’s Cathedral, serving both as a member of the Catholic Women’s League and counting the weekly collection.
Jean is survived by her son Bill (granddaughter Mackenzee); daughter-in-law Venie (grandchildren Dawnelle, Michelle, David and Julie; and great-granddaughter Eve). She is also survived by her sister Mrs. Earl Gregory (Pat); and several nieces and nephews. Jean was predeceased by her husband Dave in 1975; son Jim in 2001; her three brothers, Emmett, Howard and Clare; and sister Mary.
