Our sincere sympathies to Diane’s family, in particular to Dr. Cohen and his family, on Diane’s recent passing. She was a wonderful lady with exceptional skills and patience in dealing with our teenager’s speech therapy issues. She was always so upbeat, with just the right amount of humor and interest in teenage activities to keep our Laura hooked and willing to go through the drudgery of speech therapy practise. We will remember her fondly.

Deepest sympathies on the loss of your wife. mother and grandmother. Diane was one of my supervisors @ ACH in 1977 when she worked in the moms & tots program. Diane was one of my kindest supervisors, which I thanked her for a few years ago @ the acslpa conference. She was a strong supporter of asapp. We attended a live performance @ caslpa in the NWT about five years ago where she told me about Laurence’s love of Barbershop quartet. I appreciate Diane’s kindness, optimism, smile and wonderful laugh. She will be missed and I share in your sorrow.

  14. Anne Hanson-Finger :

I was sorry to hear of your loved one’s passing. Diane was someone I remember with fondness from our Children’s Hospital days in the speech department. She mentored me, hosted lovely department gatherings, and generously invited me to a Pesach seder (where, if I recall, the tradition was for the guest to tell you all a story.) Here’s hoping you have many memories of happy times together and are surrounded by the loving support of family and friends. You will always remember Diane’s smile, the stories she told, and the advise she gave (whether you took it or should have taken it) and above everything, you will recall how much she loved everyone of you. While you are thinking about Diane, I’ll be thinking about all of you.
    With my sincere sympathy,
    Anne Hanson-Finger

  16. Donna Scorfield :

I was so sorry to hear of Diane’s passing. She will be sadly missed by her family, friends, colleagues and clients. As a fellow speech pathologist, we shared a passion for our work in private practice. Collaborating on professional issues led to many lively discussions, for we never saw eye-to-eye initially on any subject. And for that very reason, Diane and I enjoyed our professional interactions immensely. I will miss her forthrightness, her ‘spunk’, and her laughter. My heartfelt condolence to you all at this very difficult time.
