FRASER, Mildred Lucille

November 18, 1917 – January 28, 2013

Mildred Fraser of Calgary, passed away on Monday, January 28, 2013 at the age of 95 years.

Mildred was born and raised in Empress, AB. She met Gordon in Empress and they were married in 1941. They later moved to Bassano where their son Don was born. They moved to Calgary in 1950 and she has resided here the remainder of her life. Mildred was a resident of Manor Village at Rocky Ridge where she made many friends. For the past year she was a resident of Carewest George Boyack, where she was well cared for. Mildred was a member of The Grand Ol’ Follies, and enjoyed entertaining people her whole life.

Mildred is survived by son Don (Connie) Fraser; brother Maynard Hern, sister-in-law Helen Hern; grandchildren, Colleen(Greg) Young; Cindy(Greg) Krebs; Darcy (Christie) Fraser, Darren (Jennifer) Fraser; great-grandchildren, Hunter, Kennedy, Kaitlyn and Levi Young, Maddison, Dakota, Peyton and Dru Krebs, Brynley Fraser, Keiden and Bentley Fraser. Mildred was predeceased by her husband Gordon Fraser; brothers Ben Hern and Roy Hern; and sisters-in-law Vera Hern and Mary Hern.

Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Fish Creek Chapel (14441 Bannister Road S.E.) on Friday, February 1, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.

  4. Sorry to hear about Gramma Fraser. I always enjoyed my visits with her. You will have lots of memories and stories. Mine is her saying “Oh this hip of mine” after her fall at our place. Good thing for Levi or I wouldn’t have known she fell (as he was told not to tell!) If I ever hear the words “this hip of mine” I will always think of Mildred. Thinking of you all. God Bless.
