FRASER – Bernice (Bea) Florence Frances

December 18, 1924 – January 14, 2010

Bernice (Bea) Florence Frances Fraser of Calgary passed away on Thursday, January 14, 2010 at the age of 85 years.

Bea enjoyed reading, golfing, playing bridge and socializing with friends. Her family will greatly miss her support, thoughtfulness and delicious baking.

Bea is survived by her loving husband of sixty-five years, Don; sons, Don (Charlene) of Calgary, AB, Iain (Lynne) of Bassano, AB; special grandchildren, Donald, Mairi, Tim, Scott and Ross; sisters Marj (Bill) Sykes of Edmonton, AB, and Marion Marchant (Graham Pfister) of Vancouver, BC; brother Gordon (Elsie) Wintermute of Saskatoon, SK; and many loving nieces and nephews. Bea was predeceased by her parents, Joe and Elsie Wintermute, and her sister Genevieve Dare.

A Celebration of Bea’s Life will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Fish Creek Chapel (14441 Bannister Road S.E. The family would like to thank the Palliative Home Care nurses and We Care staff. Their tender and compassionate care allowed Bea to fulfill her wish to remain in her home. We also thank the Chinook Hospice staff for the gentle and compassionate care in her final days.

    Bea was a good friend to Cheryl and myself. Her compassion during Cheryl’s illness was a great comfort to me and Cheryl. Her support in my grief was touching and much needed.
    She will be missed and I want you to know that she made the world a better place for me. Her touching acceptance of Joanne was of awesome comfort to me.
