December 18, 1943 – March 26, 2012
It is with heartfelt sadness we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother and sister, Maryann, at the age of 68 years, after a lengthy illness. Maryann was born and raised in Morley and received her education at the Morley Residential School.
Maryann loved the traditional way of life, enjoying many summers with the family’s annual hunt camp and berry picking. She was a very strong person enduring so much adversity in life, and yet devoted her life to her family. Maryann deserves the great peace offered by our Creator.
She leaves to mourn her children Clarenda and Lionel; brother Wilfred Fox (Mary), twelve grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren. Though she had a deep love and devotion to her grandchildren; Todd, Lyman, Jaycee, Tannis and Shalee had a special place in her heart as she had a part in their upbringing. She also leaves to mourn sister-in-law Tina Fox, special cousin Doreen Poucette, great nephew Lewis Wildman and friend Janice Lukenbill. She is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces and nephews from the Fox, Poucette, Twoyoungmen, Wildman, Labelle, Young, Powderface, Simeon, Mark and Kaquitts families.
We apologize if we have missed anyone.
Mary Ann is now reunited with family that predeceased her. Her husband Lawrence Labelle (1985), children Barry (1985), Orrin (1986), Verena (2008) and Floranda (2011); parents Joe and Nancy Fox; infant sisters Nancy and Margaret, siblings Joe (1979), Kent (1998), Harriet (2011), great-grandson Brogan (2011).
