Fowler, Linda (nee Allen)

September 15, 1951 – April 21, 2013

It is with heavy hearts that the family announces the sudden passing of our beloved Linda on Sunday, April 21, 2013 at the age of 61 years.

Linda was someone who enjoyed the simple things in life and by that quiet nature, she touched the lives of many. Her culinary skills lavished many a back yard barbeque from which one never left hungry. Time shared with family and friends brought mountains of laughs, some good ole’ fun and amazing memories.

Linda, go in love and light. May our voices raise your soul while endearing you to ours.

Linda is survived by her loving husband Bruce; daughter Christy; brothers, Lloyd (Shannon), Mark (Mabel) and Shawn (Charlene); sister Kim (Dave); as well as by several nieces and nephews and friends who became family of the heart. She was predeceased by her parents Gil and Jean Allen.

Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Fish Creek Chapel (14441 Bannister Road S.E.) on Friday, April 26, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.

In living memory of Linda Fowler, a tree will be planted at Fish Creek Provincial Park by McINNIS & HOLLOWAY FUNERAL HOMES, Fish Creek Chapel, 14441 BANNISTER ROAD S.E. Telephone: (403) 256-9575.

Condolence Messages

  1. Tracy and Trevor Rickards :

We met Bruce and Linda and became friends very quickly, as they are so loving and easy to get to know. Linda and I build a deep and close friendship based not only on our sameness, but also on our differences. I could draw out the bubbly giggling girl in Linda, and she always helped me to find my soft and quiet side. She is a very dear friend to me and my second mom. She loved nothing more on this earth than her family, and talked non-stop about you, every time we were together. She is very proud of you all. She will be dearly missed by all that knew her. Please accept our love and condolence in this very difficult time. Love always, Tracy and Trevor

Linda, where to begin. Linda is an inspiration as a woman, mother, wife (and I really cant forget….cook!!) She is a down right good person. Loving, caring, kind and accepting of everyone. Always with a smile on her face, her positive attitude and nurturing nature always made me feel welcome in her presence. She had a gift in making you feel like you were a part of her family, and I know my family will always consider her a part of ours.
Bruce, I send my deep condolences to you and your family. As my cousin Adria said, heaven is a much better place now.
    With all my love. Xoxo.

I am so very sorry. I only knew Linda through my association as a customer of Times Press. It was always fun to talk to her while we sorted out my orders, that was just doing our jobs and we had fun, so I really can’t imagine how desperately sad you all must be to lose someone so special and full of life. Please accept my sincere sympathy at this difficult time.
