FOSTER, Edna “Eddie” (nee McCudden)

August 19, 1925 – Liverpool, England
January 29, 2015 – Calgary, Alberta

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Mum and Nana Edna Foster (nee McCudden) of Calgary on Thursday, January 29, 2015.

Born in Liverpool to Elizabeth McCudden (nee Parkinson); and her father William Charles McCudden. Edna immigrated to Canada with her husband Harry and children, Lyn and Steve in 1963. She was a dedicated Mum and Nana who was so proud of her children, grandchildren and her great-grandchildren. She will be lovingly remembered for her warmth, sweet smile and gentle nature.

Edna is survived by her daughter Lyn (Barry) Wood; son Steve (Mary) Foster; grandchildren, Carly (Rick) Godfrey, James (Tara) Foster, Daniel Foster, Christine (Jeff) McCutcheon, and Elizabeth Foster; five great-grandchildren, Emery, Adalynn, Presley, Cordelia and Grayden and her loving sister Edith Foster.

Edna was predeceased by her husband of sixty-four years Harry Foster in 2012.

As per Edna’s wishes no formal service will be held. Condolences may be forwarded through The family is grateful to Eddie’s neighbours for their constant support and friendship which allowed Mum to fulfill her wish to remain in her home.

In living memory of Edna Foster, a tree will be planted at Fish Creek Provincial Park by McINNIS & HOLLOWAY FUNERAL HOMES, Chapel of the Bells, 2720 CENTRE STREET NORTH, Telephone: 403-276-2296.
