April 21, 1944– Dauphin, MB
May 20, 2014 – Calgary, AB
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Margaret Flecknor. Following a courageous and lengthy battle with cancer, Margaret passed away peacefully with family at her side.
Margaret was born in Dauphin, Manitoba. She has lived in Neepawa, and Winnipeg, but eventually she called Calgary her home.
Margaret enjoyed making memories while traveling, and spending many a winter in and around Southern California. During quiet times, Margaret liked nothing better than to curl up, relax and read a good book. Spending time with family and friends meant the world to Margaret, whether it was enjoying a good meal, having a nice conversation, or just helping out in any way she could. Margaret will be greatly missed by her family and many good friends.
Margaret will be dearly missed by her loving children, Douglas, Christopher, and Jodi (Rod); her sister Linda; grandchildren Erik and Abbey (whom she adored); numerous family members; as well as many wonderful friends. She was predeceased by her parents Hazel Chapple and Jack Ball.
In keeping with Margaret’s wishes, no formal funeral service will be held. We encourage family and friends, old and new, to attend a Celebration of Margaret’s Life to be held at Jodi’s, on Saturday, May 31, 2014. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org for details.
