February 25, 1994 – January 4, 2015
Jordan Fish was taken from us suddenly on Sunday, January 4, 2015, at the age of 20 years.
Left to mourn his loss are his loving parents, Selby and Della Fish; his brother Parker Fish; and his sister Emily Fish; as well as his grandparents, George Fish, Irene MacDonald, and Cae Parry; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was predeceased by his Grandpa, Donald MacDonald, who will be there to greet him in heaven.
Jordan was born in Regina, SK in 1994 where he lived for a short period of time until the family moved to the farm in Ogema, SK in 1995. Then in 1998 the move was made to Calgary, AB where he has resided ever since.
Jordan attended Brentwood Elementary School, Colonel Macleod Middle School, and graduated from Crescent Heights High School in 2012. He then attended SAIT where he graduated in May 2014 with his Power Engineering Technology Diploma and 3rd Class Power Engineering Certificate. He was employed by Agrium in Carseland where he was looking forward to progressing through the units and working towards obtaining his 2nd Class Power Engineering Certificate.
While attending SAIT, he joined the Cross Country Running Team and Track Team. In his second year he was co-captain, and was fortunate to go to Nationals in Toronto with the team. He enjoyed playing hockey from the age of 5 through 18 with Symons Valley Hockey, and then carried on to play in a competitive rec league alongside his Dad and his brother Parker. He also enjoyed camping with his friends, skiing and playing guitar.
Family was important to Jordan, from mentoring his sister in her athletic and academic endeavours, to reminiscing with his Grandparents. He went out of his way to lend a helping hand, not only to his immediate family, but extended as well. He also had a deep bond with his dog, Chase, who became the subject of many of his school assignments. He always made family functions more enjoyable with his jokes and good humour.
Jordan was an ambitious young man with many dreams and plans for the future. He had a quick wit and a smile that would light up the room. Everything Jordan did, he did with a passion and to the best of his ability, making new friends along the way, while maintaining an extraordinary bond with his childhood friends.
