Sadly, Camille passed away on Tuesday, June 17, 2014 after a heroic battle with cancer. He will be greatly missed by his wife Leslie; daughter Nichole (Mike); son Jesse (Sharon); his grandchildren: Christopher, Jacob and McKenzie; sisters: Louise and Linda; and his brothers Guy and Allan.

Camille was a great friend, devoted family man, gifted artist, musician, motorcycle enthusiast and a superb storyteller. Friends and family are invited to celebrate the life and legacy of this extraordinary man and to share your favorite “Camille” stories at a Memorial Service to be held at New Life Community Church, (7642 – 22nd Street SE, Calgary AB) on Saturday, July 19, 2014 at 2:00 p.m.

In Camille’s memory, we ask that you consider participating in “The Tomorrow Project”, the largest cancer research study ever undertaken in Alberta, by registering at www.in4tomorrow.ca.     Camille’s family lived 2 doors from my family in Atikokan. We left there in 1965 and The Fillions left before us. I was a friend of his Sister, Louise, and Camille was a friend of my Brother, Don. I had no contact with his family after they left Atikokan and was surprised / shocked when I spotted the obituary in the newspaper. I would like to extend my condolences to the family.
