It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden passing of William “Bill” Fesyk on Sunday, August 10, 2008 at the age of 78 years.
Born near Lamont, AB, Bill spent his youth on the family farm where he developed solid family values and a strong work ethic. He attended college in Edmonton before starting a career in the oil and gas industry with Imperial Oil in 1951. Bill spent the majority of his career in Imperial’s Reservoir Engineering and Production departments. He also served as Vice Chairman of the Reserves Committee of the Canadian Petroleum Association. During his tenure with Imperial, he lived in Devon, Camrose, Red Deer, and Edmonton before retiring to Calgary in 1986. Bill will be fondly remembered as an innovative handyman, a sharp political satirist, and most importantly a loving and supportive husband and father.
Bill will be dearly missed by his daughter and son-in-law Linda and Mark; son and daughter-in-law David and Shawnie; sister Rose; brother John; his extended family; and by his many friends and colleagues. He was predeceased by his beloved wife Karin (nee Pearson) to whom he was married for forty-four years; his parents Nick and Mary; and by his sister Ann.
