Herminia Esquivel beloved wife of the late Ismael Esquivel, passed away at the George Boyack Nursing Home on Saturday, November 8, 2014 at the age of 96 years.
Born on September 30, 1918 in Guimba, Nueva Ecija, Philippines and immigrated to Canada on March 30, 1976. Herminia was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was a proud member of the Filipino Calgarian Seniors Club. Hermina enjoyed Playing mah-jong and tong-its as well she enjoyed listening to Maal-ala Mo Kaya and Willie Revillame songs.
Herminia is survived by her two sons and four daughters, Clara (Rudy) Kintanar, Irene (Mike) Medina, Bebeth (Mar) Cay, Boy (Ellen) Esquivel, Ellen (Leo) Divina and Mario (Angie) Esquivel; as well her eighteen grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren.
Herminia was predeceased by her husband Ismael; her children Edilberto, Angelite, Jose, Edwardo and Renato; also her parents; four brothers and three sisters.
Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Eastside Memorial Chapel (5388 Memorial Drive N.E.) on Thursday, November 13, 2014 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and on Friday, November 14, 2014 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with Prayers Services at 7:00 p.m.
A Concelebrated Funeral Mass will be held at Holy Trinity Catholic Church (1525 45 Street S.E.) on Saturday, November 15, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. Graveside Service to follow at Rockyview Garden of Peace.
