Ebba Lilian Elliott (nee Shacke-Andersen) was born in London, England. There she married Sydney Henry John Elliott, a union lasting 68 years. Sons Neil and Nick were born in London in 1936 and 1939. During the war years, while John served in the RAF, Ebba and sons spent time alone in Radlett, England. In 1947, the family immigrated to Canada, John first then Ebba with seven and 11 year old sons by ship to Halifax. N.S. The family settled first in Montreal and moved to Lachine, QC in 1951. In 1973, shortly after John’s retirement, Ebba and John moved to Calgary. Ebba was a life member of the Quebec Chapter of the I.O.D.E. She spent her later years living at the Fountains of Mission making many new friends.
She is survived by sons Neil (Joan) and Nick (Marilyn), seven grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren as well as many nieces, nephews and friends in London, England.
Ebba was predeceased by her husband John and three older brothers.
