Mr. Richard “Dick” Ehret, beloved husband of Mrs. Katherine Ehret of Calgary, passed away on Thursday, May 8, 2008 at the age of 78 years.
Dick was employed at UCAD with the City of Calgary for many years until his retirement.
Besides his loving wife Katherine, Dick is survived by three sons and two daughters-in-law, Lewis Stowell of Calgary, John and Lilly Stowell of Airdrie and Lee and Diane Stowell of Gibbons, AB; two daughters and sons-in-law, Pat and Archie Lang of Airdrie and Carol and Brad Spence of Gibbons, AB; ten grandchildren, Robin, Dean, Nick, Natalie, Adam, Erin, Cam, Joel, Brittany and Amy and three great-grandchildren, Madi, Kodi and Sam. He is also survived by a brother and sister-in-law, Scottie and Sylvia of Red Deer and a sister, Frieda Balmer of Medicine Hat as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Dick was predeceased by nine siblings, John, William, Edward, Raymond, Emil, Lil, Magdalene, Emma and Martha.
Funeral Services will be held at Ascension Lutheran Church (1432 – 19th Street N.E.) on Tuesday, May 13, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. Graveside Service to follow at Queen’s Park Cemetery.
