EASTHAM – Cindy Louise

February 9, 1987 – July 23, 2010

Cindy Eastham, beloved child and sister, passed away on Friday, July 23, 2010 at the age of 23 years.

Cindy grew up in Prince George, B.C. and moved to Calgary in 2006 to start new opportunities and be closer to her sister. She loved music, romance novels, poetry, Egyptology, horror movies, forensics, animals, and her Mr. Bear – who she seldom spent a night without in 18 years. It is the kind of person who you were that matters in the end, not what you did nor how long you lived. Cindy was an amazing person: intelligent, responsible, passionate, fun-loving, and lived to care for others in whatever way they needed. We will all miss you so much.

Cindy will be lovingly remembered by her mom, Andrea Eastham, her twin brother, David Eastham Jr., her big sister, Audrey Eastham and her father David Eastham Sr., aunts, uncles, cousins, and countless close friends.

A Celebration of Cindy’s Life will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Park Memorial Chapel (5008 Elbow Drive S.W.) on Friday, July 30, 2010 at 2:30 p.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com. A service will also be held in Prince George, B.C. at a date and time to be announced.

In living memory of Cindy Eastham, a tree will be planted at Fish Creek Provincial Park by McINNIS & HOLLOWAY FUNERAL HOMES Park Memorial Chapel, 5008 ELBOW DRIVE S.W. Telephone: (403) 243-8200.

Condolence Messages

  1. Michelle Dobler :

My condolences go out to all of you at this tragic time. I was on the highway travelling from Calgary to Penticton on Friday and was stopped for several hours. Please know that many strangers prayed for the victims of the crash and their families that day. You are in our hearts and thoughts still. May you find some comfort in knowing that your daughter, sister and friend was surrounded by miles and miles of love that day. Our thoughts and prayers are now with you.

    Cindy,
There’s so many memories running through my mind. All of our memories from when I first visited Calgary and when we lived together. You helped me so much when I moved here and I can not thank you enough. Your smile is engraved in my mind. I remember like it was yesterday when I first met you. I always remember having talks and gossiping on the deck late at night. Its sad to think I will never be able to do that with you again. I’m so happy I met you and I will never forget you. You are the nicest and sweetest person I have ever met. Thank you for everything you did and I will always cherish our friendship.

    Love always

    Dearest Andrea, Audrey and David:

Karen and I can not begin to tell you how saddened we were to hear the loss of Cindy. Knowing how you loved and cared for the well being of your family makes your loss our loss and the loss of all that knew Cindy. Your CFS family remembers and cherishes the young days of our families in Prince George – the BBQs the air shows, the kids running around – all very vivid images in our minds. Please accept our deepest condolences at this time; we shall pray for the Lord’s comfort for your and your family now and in the days to come. Blessings always,

    Keith and Karen

  20. I met Cindy only a handful of times earlier this year, and I will say she was amazingly friendly, warm and nice to chat with. I could tell she had a heart of gold. I heard of her passing just today and I am extremely upset to hear this news. Condolences to her family.

  22. David Jame Eastham Sr. (Cindy's Dad) :

Cindy is a very special gift from God to us all, and my love for her will simply never end. I remain in awe of her born with wisdom, and will think on her constantly with the most wonderful thoughts for the rest of my life.
I take comfort in the knowledge that Cindy is not lost to any of us. Rather she has gone on to a much better place, and even that place will be greatly improved by her presence.
A place where such things as wreck-less hate, mindless fear, and the pompous ramblings of the inept cannot touch her anymore.
I look forward to the moment I may join her there.
