Dunbar, Howard Richard

It is heartbreaking to announce that our beloved Howie passed away on the morning of Tuesday, March 31, 2009 after a courageous battle with cancer.

Howie embraced life and loved deeply, with an open and honest heart. He will be remembered forever by the love of his life Debby Kowalchuk; by his Dad Bob; his brothers, Bob and Ron; his sister Laurie; and by his little Daya, whom he loved so much. Howie’s legacy will live on in the memories of family and friends who were touched and supported by his inner strength and gentle, loving soul.

Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Park Memorial Chapel (5008 Elbow Drive S.W.) on Monday, April 6, 2009 from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Please join us to celebrate Howie’s love of life and music at his memorial service at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Park Memorial Chapel (5008 Elbow Drive S.W.) on Tuesday, April 7, 2009 at 2:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family invites you to donate to The Ride to Conquer Cancer – a link to the site dedicated to Howie may be obtained by emailing rideforhowie@strategywest.com.
