John Druhall, of Calgary passed away on Sunday, October 26, 2008 at the age of 77 years.
John was born in Lethbridge, Alberta on May 9, 1931. John was an excellent father, being involved in both Scouts and soccer. He created a great house, yard, garden and enjoyed working on many things. John showed incredible focus, was helpful, innovative, exhibited an uncommon tenacity, and accomplished many things throughout his life. His projects included building and using a ham operator’s station, developing the basement in his home, creating a recreational vehicle, fixing cars, and welding, among other things. John liked to drive and would frequently take members of his family on road trips to interesting places. He had a successful professional career as a purchasing agent, buyer and manager, working for the City of Calgary, Industrial Wife and Cable, Alberta & Southern and Alberta Natural Gas Co. Ltd.
John is survived by his son Larry and his grand-daughter Brenda. He was predeceased by his son Ron and his wife Catherine.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Luke’s Catholic Church (Corner of Northmount Drive & Northland Drive N.W.) on Friday, November 28, 2008 at 10:30 a.m. Graveside Service to follow at Queen’s Park Cemetery. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
