Edyn lived fully, kindly and with incredible grace. From her beginning she was wise beyond her years. Never a day passed without smiles, laughter, goofiness and celebration of some kind. Edyn’s bravery was astounding and guided us all through the most difficult of days. In her final moments we spoke to Edyn about how she made us better people, how she warmed the hearts of everyone she met. Edyn had the gift to connect with the smallest of children, the oldest of adults and everyone in between. Our family, Michael, Kristyn and Simon, will forever live with Edyn’s gentle spirit. Her love of life inspires us to live in the moment and to always be kind.
When remembering Edyn we think of “What Would Edyn Do”. In this we look for the good in every moment; we smile, strike a pose, dance like never before, turn up the music and always be grateful.
Edyn is survived by her best friend and brother, Simon, her loving parents, Michael and Kristyn; grandparents Michael and Isabel, Midge and Paul; her aunts, uncles & families Ronnie, Meredith, Lily & Charlie; Mark, Jill & Ruth; Nicholas, Gimena, Eva & Blas; Kelly, Mark, Emma, Alexandra & Isabel; Peter, Nathan & Cameron; Sharon; and all of the people Edyn touched in her life.
A Celebration of Edyn’s Life will be held on Friday, September 26, 2014 from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at Shaganappi Community Hall (2516 – 14 Ave S.W. Calgary, AB).
