Alexander (Alex) Dramalis passed away peacefully at the Rockyview General Hospital in Calgary on Wednesday, August 8, 2007 at the age of 88 years with his family at his side.
Alex is survived by his daughter Marina (George) and their children Dimitri and Cristina all of Athens, Greece and his son George (Sharon) and their children Daniel (Mary) and Greg (Brandy) of Calgary. He welcomed his first great grandchild, Nicolas, into his life six weeks ago. Alex was predeceased by his parents, George and Marika, and his sister Xeni, all of Athens, Greece who were well known in the acting community. He was also predeceased by his loving wife Mary in 2001 in Vancouver and his beloved grandson Ryan in 1996.
Alex and Mary were married in Athens in 1942 and immigrated to Vancouver, Canada in 1948 where they raised their family. They lived a happy life amongst their many good friends and close family giving the gift of their constant love and devotion to their children and grandchildren. For this we are forever greatful.
