Carmina Dourado, wife of the late Aleluia Dourado, passed away peacefully at the Father Lacombe Care Centre in Calgary on Friday, October 4, 2013 at the age of 91 years.
Carmina was born in Goa, moved to Dar-es-salaam, Tanzania, then to Canada in 1979. Carmina, with Aleluia operated Canyon Meadows Tailors until 1991. Carmina will be remembered by her family and friends for her hospitality and her love for gardening. Her family were her pride and joy.
She will be missed by her children Paulo, Albertina Fernandes, Manuel (Hyacinth), Veronica (Andrew) D’Mello, Antonio and Thomas (Lana); grandchildren Jeremy (Jenn), Andrea (Paul), Clifton, Melanie (Newton), Brandon, Meaghan, Nicholas, Charles; and great-grandson James.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church (5340 – 4th Street S.W.) on Tuesday, October 8, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. A private family Graveside will be held at Queen’s Park Cemetery.
