DOERKSEN – Roberta (nee Russell)

September 18, 1937 – May 10, 2011

Roberta Doerksen was promoted to heaven on May 10, 2011 at the age of 73 years.

Loving mother, wife, aunt, mother-in-law, and faithful servant of God. Dearly loved by her husband Jake; daughter Bev (Garron) Smith; son Brent (Karen); and granddaughter Danica (Eric).  Survived by her sisters Ruby (Jim) Magee and family and Sally Latimer and family.  Love’s last gift, remembrance. Jeremiah 29:11.

    Dear Jake, Bev and Brent,
    My deepest condolences on Roberta’s passing. She certainly will be remembered by myself for what a loving person and a wonderful nurse she was. I hope her last few weeks were peaceful. I know she was in very capable hands of her daughter, who obviously got her caring nursing genes from her mom. Thank you so much for inviting me to her funeral. I couldn’t make it, but would have loved to come to say goodbye. I will miss her too.
