The family of Elizobeth (Betty) Doering is saddened to announce her passing on Wednesday, July 2, 2014 in Calgary, at the age of 87.
Betty was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. She cherished her numerous friendships, which flourished and spanned many decades. She had a love for the Calgary Stampede, passion for playing bingo, bowling, camping, going to rodeos, taking photographs, and filled her home with her beloved owls and trinkets.
Betty will be lovingly remembered by her husband Bruce Doering; her son Richard Grobowsky; and her daughter Judy Stinn. She will be dearly missed by her sisters, Rita Heinz and Loretta Roberts; her step-children, Shari Mathison and Tim Doering; and by her numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister Shirley LaRoque; her brother Don Cruickshank; and her sister-in-law Norma Cruickshank.
A Celebration of Betty’s Life will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S, Chapel of the Bells (2720 Centre Street North) on Tuesday, July 8, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. Condolences may be forwarded through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
