Ethel Dobos of Calgary, passed away on Friday, January 2, 2015 at the age of 89 years.
Ethel was born in Pogony, Hungary, but immigrated to Canada when she was a young girl, growing up in East Coulee, AB. Ethel met and married John in East Coulee, later moving to Calgary where she worked at Woolworths, Woodward’s and Fabric Lane. Ethel loved to bake fresh bread and cook for all family events. She was a wonderful seamstress and crocheted many blankets.
Ethel is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Jerry and Wendy; two grandchildren Lisa Kowalski and Jennifer Dobos (Simon); two great-grandchildren Cody and Cassidy Kowalski; brother-in-law Joe Dobos (Joy); as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her loving husband John, and sister Irene Ivan (Andy).
