Di Francesco, Felice

September 4, 1928 – June 30, 2012

Felice Di Francesco, beloved husband of Elisa Di Francesco of Calgary, passed away on Saturday, June 30, 2012 at the age of 83 years.

Felice was born in Teramo, Italy and immigrated to Canada in the early 1950’s settling in Calgary. He worked with Standard General Construction as foreman for over thirty years until his retirement. Felice enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Felice is survived by his loving wife Elisa; two daughters, Lina (Gerry) Zarra and Giovanna (Robert) Wright; four grandchildren, Danielle, Angelo, Samuel and Miriam; as well as a sister Teresa Grassi; brother-in-law Cesare Di Ascenzo; and nieces and nephews, Renato, Domenico, Anna, Giovanna, Roberto, Rita, Maurizio, Ivana, Lina, Shirley, Lisa, Francesco and Miro.

Felice was predeceased by his siblings, Domenico, Elvira, Vivina and Lidia; and brother-in-law Onorato Grassi.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Grace Italian and English Catholic Church (1714 – 14th Avenue N.E.) on Thursday, July 5, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. Graveside Service to follow at Queen’s Park Mausoleum.     Our deepest sympathy to the Difrancesco family for your loss. Felice was my fathers cousin, and grew up next door to each other in Teramo. I spent a couple of summers at my Grandmother’s home back in Italy, Where at night she and my father would tell us stories of the old days, and of the family next door. Rest in peace Mr. DiFranceaco
