  4. Carol & Bryan Beckwall :

    Death is nothing at all
I have only slipped away into the next room
I am I, and you are you.
Whatever we were to each other
    That we still are.

Call me by my old familiar name
Speak to me in the easy way which you always used
Wear no forced air of solemnity or sorrow.
Laugh as we always laughed at the little jokes
    We enjoyed together.

Play, smile, think of me, pray for me,
Let my name be ever the household word that
    It always was.

Let it be spoken without effort,
Without the trace of a shadow on it.
Life means all that it ever meant
It is the same as it ever was
    There is absolutely unbroken continuity.

Why should I be out of mind because I am
Out of sight? I am but waiting for you
    For an interval
    Somewhere very near
    Just around the corner .

    All is well.

  15. Mrs. Devolin, Barry, Arlene and Jim -It’s been a long time but childhood memories never leave. Your husband and father was a great guy and I have many fond memories of him as Barry and I “hung out”. From the weight lifting comps in your basement to watching him rip into the R/T and throw a 440 into his Dodge pickup and see it on the tack at Shepard Raceway! I drive by the house on Fairmont Drive not sure who is living there but would have stopped if I saw a familiar face to say hello. Unfortunately I will not make the Memorial service as I will be operating a flight to San Francisco but even after all these years, I will be thinking of all of you on this day. Although I know losing a loved one is hard take some comfort in knowing that Bob was a great man.

Pat, Barry, Arlene and Jim – so sorry to hear about Bob. He touched my life in a very special way – many years ago now, but I’ve never forgotten how much fun we had and how kind he was to me. I can’t go to a Flames game without thinking of our times together way back in the old Corral. Mom and I both wanted you to know our thoughts are with you at this time.

  18. “We Never Walk Alone”

    For Mom:
The time comes when those whom we have loved the longest & the best will travel far ahead into a place of joy & rest
And we must walk a lonely path through shadows for a while without a certain kindred voice, a dear, familiar smile —
Yet each day brings us nearer to horizons yet unknown and even when the way is dark, we never walk alone
For memories travel with us toward the happy destination where we will join our loved ones in eternal celebration

Though we’ll miss him always, Dad’s presence & love will forever be felt as he’ll live on in each of us. May the love of family and friends you nurtured together sustain you now. Love Arlene
