Joe DeVisser of Calgary, AB passed away on August 12, 2013 at the age of 84 years.

Joe emigrated from Holland in the 1950’s, and lived on an acreage in Saddleridge before relocating to Prince of Peace in December 2003. Joe and his brother Lein started DeVisser Trucking in 1954 until they sold out in 1984. At that time, they went into partnership to form DeNel Trucking in 1985. They also had trucks leased to Mullen Trucking until 1995 when Joe retired.

Joe is survived by his nieces Nancy (Jay) and Wendy (Brandon); great-nephews Tyler and Grady; and many other nieces and nephews from the Sundre area.

He is predeceased by his brothers Pieter, Lein and Adriaan.

A Celebration of Joe’s Life will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S, Chapel of the Bells (2720 Centre Street North) on Monday, August 19, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. Condolences may be forwarded through
