  2. I have so many great memories of visiting Aunt Edith as a young girl. Her house was an amazing adventure where I never knew how many dogs would lie behind each bedroom door. Both Edith and Rachelle taught me so much about caring and loving my own poodle, Chondelle, whom Edith gave me at the age of 13. To visit Edith meant playing with beautiful poodles adorning glittery collars, watching both Edith and Rachelle training their dogs to obey many hand signals and preparing them for shows, and trips to the “Poodle Parlor” where we would drink Coca Cola, bathe, comb, and put bows in the ears of all kinds of dogs. Aunt Edith was a big part of my youth and I am so lucky to have had this great woman as my aunt. She was so good to all of us and had such an amusing sense of humor. Love to John and Rachelle and to all of Edith’s friends and family members. Joel and I send our condolences – Edith will be missed my many two-legged and four-legged friends.

    Rachelle and family
I have great memories of your Mom visiting Betty at Hugh and Ingrid’s 5th wheel during the AKC summer shows. Know that your Mom is in a better place and that she was a delight to have on our planet. My deepest sympathy.

  5. Theresa Sullivn :

My mother (Sadie Fitzgerald Sullivan) and your mother were friends in Calgary growing up. My mom moved to Halifax to marry when she was 27 or 28 which would have been 1949, but after that our mothers exchanged Christmas greetings every year right up until 2009 when my mom passed away. Pretty amazing that they stayed in touch for all those years!

I am so very sorry for your loss.
