  4. To the Family of Steve Denny,
    Please accept my condolences at this time. I first met Steve at the Nor-Cal Curling and immediately liked his most positive and genial attitude. He started as a spare and eventually became a regular curler. Please know that he and the family will be in my thoughts and prayers at this time.

  7. Dear Carole;

    This is in lieu of the card we intended to bring along to the service today. The brief meeting with you in the reception line did not by a long shot, allow words to be said that express our feelings for you at this time of shock and sorrow. We give thanks that we had the fortune to be with you and Steve on Friday February 22nd. for Gin Rummy. Although concerned for his not feeling well,we would never have dreamed that would be our last visit with him. When we heard of his hospitalization, our minds were never very far away from thinking of Steve. As I mentioned to you today, the pain of seeing wonderful people leave long before their time and vacuum left behind for the spouse seems so totally unfair. Not so unlike when one loses a child long before their time.
    Our thoughts are with you and we hope you will carry on with Club events when you feel up to this new solo role you have taken on. Today’s attendance is testimony to the love we all had for Steve. We will always remember that mischievous chuckle the was distinctly his. In closing, please our condolences to you family members that we didn’t get to meet today.

    All our love,

    Les & Bea
