DEMELLO, Libania

September 6, 1929 – July 21, 2012

It is with sadness and sorrow we announce the passing away of our beloved Libania on Saturday, July 21, 2012, surrounded by her loved ones.

Libania was born in Goa, India; got married on February 20, 1952 to the late Zachary (Jack) Demello and moved to Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. She then moved to Malawi, Central Africa in 1972 and immigrated to Canada in 1990.

Libania was a woman of strong faith. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, fishing and playing cards.

Libania is lovingly remembered by her children, Casmira, Cyril and his wife Martina, Sabina and her husband Leo, Stephen and his wife Fatima; and grandchildren, Conrad, Ryan, Zack, Scott, and Stephanie.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Corpus Christi Catholic Church (Corner of 4th Street and Northmount Drive N.W.) on Thursday, July 26, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. Graveside Service to follow at Queen’s Park Cemetery Condolences may be forwarded through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
