DELAERE, Werner Felix Charles “Bert”

May 16, 1922 – December 10, 2012

Bert Delaere of Calgary, passed away peacefully at the Foothills Medical Centre in Calgary on Monday, December 10, 2012 at the age of 90 years.

Bert was born in Meenen, Belguim and immigrated to Canada when he was a child. He resided in Montreal until moving to Calgary in 1970. Bert was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion and the Fraternal Order of Eagles.

Bert is survived by his daughter Darlene Gaffney of Kingston, ON; two grandsons Bill (Sarah) of Ottawa and Ryan (Viet-Ha) of Toronto; and four great-grandchildren.

No formal services will be held. Condolences may be forwarded through www.mcinnisandholloway.com. If friends so desire, memorial tributes may be made directly to the charity of the donor’s choice.
