Jean De Sutter passed away peacefully in her sleep August 5, 2014.
Jean was born May 13, 1917, Christ Church, England. She was predeceased by her husband Joseph in 1995 and her daughter Patricia Clark in 2003. She is survived by her son John and his wife Donna, five grandchildren, Joey Clark of New Westminster, Jeff (Julie) of Grande Prairie, Randy (Gina) of Calgary, Will Cristy of Black Diamond and Jody De Sutter of St. Albert. Jean is also survived by eleven great-grandchildren and her sister Eneth Watkins of Red Deer Lake.
She came to Priddis then Stettler as a young girl, and later moved to Calgary where she married Joe. Together they owned and operated the family business, De Sutter Autobody. She loved sports and was an avid bowler and curler and enjoyed the Calgary Stampede. In 1974 they retired to Lac Des Arcs where they spent many happy years together with their beloved dogs in the mountains. In later years, she was a resident of St. Martha’s at Banff Mineral Springs.
Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY (Park Memorial, 5008 Elbow Drive S.W. Calgary, AB) on Friday, August 8, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. A private family burial service will be held in Canmore.
