DAVIS, Christina Diane

July 23, 1950 – April 1, 2013

Christina Diane Davis, of Calgary, AB passed away peacefully on Monday, April 1, 2013 at the age of 62 years.

Christina was born on July 23, 1950 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Kenora, ON to Stan and Jean Palipowski. Christina graduated high school from Lakewood High in Kenora, ON. She went on to graduate from McMaster’s Nursing School in 1971 as a Registered Nurse. She devoted her career as a registered nurse to taking care of others.

Her passing did not leave us empty because through her lifetime she filled us with joy and love. She showed us that being kind and generous to each other was the best way to express our love for each other. From her we learned there is no other love than unconditional love for family and friends.

So to you, mom, nanny we offer you these parting words: Thank you for all the things you have done for us! Thank you for being the best mother and nanny we could have ever asked for! We love you, we will always love you and we will never forget you. Your Spirit will live on within us.

You have rightfully earned your heavenly wings
and we are sure you will take to your new role as our guardian angel with love, pride and joy!!!!

Christina is survived by her father Stan Palipowski; her sister Judy Palipowski and brother Jerry Palipowski; her son Colin Davis, and her daughter and son-in-law, Chelanne and Patrick Murphy; and her 3 grandchildren, Jackson, Maguire and Kennedy Murphy. Christina is predeceased by her mother Jean Palipowski; we are grateful that Grammie is there to welcome her home.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Luke’s Catholic Church (Corner of Northmount Drive & Northland Drive N.W.) on Tuesday, April 9, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. followed by a Celebration of Life at her Family’s Home. Condolences may be forwarded through Flowers may be forwarded to McInnis & Holloway Funeral Homes.

i was so sorry to hear about your Mom, grandmother, mother-in-law, sister and daughter’s passing.
On my many trips to Calgary, we spent time together and your Mom was always there to be my taxi. She adored her Grandchildren and most of all her own two children Chelanne and Colin. She was very kid and loving.
    I will miss her.
    Rest in Peace Christina!
