Ethel Davies of Calgary, passed away on Saturday, September 1, 2012 at the age of 92 years.
Ethel was born in Spirit River, AB. She attended U of A where she received her B.Ed degree. She taught her whole working life in various communities throughout Alberta, with the majority of years in Ponoka, AB. Ethel found teaching to be a very satisfying career.
Ethel is survived by her daughter-in-law Sandy Fildes, two grandsons David (Josee) Fildes and Shane (Roxanne) Fildes, five great grandchildren, a brother John (Betty) Fildes, four sisters Mabel Cowan, Clara Taylor, Dorothy Dwyer and Isabel Rushing as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son Geoffrey Fildes and a sister Edith Korby.
