Davé, Jamuna

February 22, 1943 – May 20, 2012

Jamuna Davé, beloved wife of Kantilal Davé of Calgary, passed away peacefully. She was sixty-nine years old.

Jamuna was predeceased by her beloved son, Bharat. She is survived by her loving sons, Manohar (Diana) and Gunwant (Meena); her loving daughter, Saroj; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She is also survived by three brothers and five sisters. She also leaves behind an extended family, all of whom shall miss her.

Jamuna was born in Fatana, India. She settled in Calgary in 1970. Her inquisitive mind and her persistent nature were instrumental in helping her grasp all that the modern world had to offer. She also gave unselfishly to the community by volunteering in various organizations, and tirelessly helping at many functions. We will all greatly miss her warmth, kindness, and generous and loving spirit.

The family expresses their heartfelt gratitude to the nurses and staff at Agape Hospice for their compassion and unconditional care. In lieu of flowers, we request that donations be made in Jamuna’s memory to the Agape Hospice Society, 1302 8th Avenue N.W. Calgary, Alberta, T2N 1B8.

Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S, Chapel of the Bells (2720 Centre Street North) on Friday, May 25, 2012 at 3:00 p.m. Condolences may be forwarded through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
