Pearl A. Darling beloved wife of Anthony “Tony” of Calgary passed away after a short and valiant battle with cancer on December 28, 2013, at the age of 71 years.

Pearl enjoyed many years of activity in serving a number of callings in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Her greatest and most loved calling beyond measure was as an ordiance worker in the Calgary Alberta Temple every Friday afternoon.

She was predeceased by her loving brother Albert Cave “The Candyman” and by her best friends and loving step parents Aunt Lilian and Uncle Rae Oliver.

Her niece Barbara Gelly and companion Stuart Tomelty as well as a great niece Victoria Gelly from Orangeville, On were her great comfort and her “roots” from her childhood.

Her seven grandchildren were loved beyond measure and her wish and hope for all of them is a full and successful life.

Pearl is survived by a loving and devoted husband Tony. Four beautiful loving children, Dereck Jones and daughter-in –law Lindsay Ewens-Jones of Calgary AB, step son Andrew Darling of Trail B.C., step daughter Nicole Darling and son-in-law Derrick Pobereznak of Saskatoon SK and a caring and loving daughter Cindy Quinney of Calgary.

Funeral services will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Sundance Chapel. 100 Sunpark Dr S.E. on Saturday, January 4, 2014 at 11:00 am.

  3. I’m so very sad to learn of Pearl’s passing. While I knew her in this life, she ALWAYS greeted me with a smile and big hug. She is a generous woman who shared everything she had with anyone who needed it. I will miss her. I’m grateful to know this is a temporary separation.
