  14. Bev Stevenson :

My sympathies to you all at this time off loss.

Growing up in Lakeview next to the Dakins and therefore the Darlings (!!), I have lots of childhood memories. Mostly they consist of the fantastic Halloween tricks and decorations Larry had. I remember being so excited & ‘scared’ coming up to your house on Linden Drive… Didn’t Larry dress up as a monster and scare all the kids one year? A cauldron of koolaid, getting pencils….Fabulous!

I also enjoyed being a member of CAPPS with Larry in more recent years. Always friendly and helpful, a gentleman.

He will certainly be missed. Strength to you in the coming months.

One of the nices voices we had the pleasure of listening too and singing with in his Barbershop days along with Don Clark and Mike Sobey. As the song goes “We’ll get together again in a little while”, as a heavenly quartet.
Our heartfelt condolences go out to the family.

  23. Bon vivant, entrepreneur. Ardent conservative, raconteur. Guitar playing, sailing, harmonizer and all round rabble rouser. Larry Darling was one of a kind and is fondly remembered. The Heart of the New West beats a little slower today. Condolences to all,

    Dear Angie,
Rod called to tell me about the loss of our cousin Larry and I was so sorry to hear the news. I hadn’t seen Larry for many years, but feel I almost came close, as we are traveling from ID in October to visit my niece in Calgary and Rod at Lake Windermere for your Canadian Thanksgiving. Larry was on my list for a reunion visit!
He was certainly a fun guy and will really be missed by you and all your family I know. My thoughts are with you all at this time.

  25. Christopher Minty MBE :

I met Larry in the late 90’s on vacation in Chester, Nova Scotia. I had little more than a 20 min conversation with him and never met him again after that – but in that brief moment he had a profound and life-changing impact on me for which I will be forever grateful. My heartfelt condolences to his wife and family – an inspirational individual.
