It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Kristine (Kris) with family by her side after a courageous battle with breast cancer.
Born in Victoria, raised on Saltspring and ending her journey in Airdrie Alberta, she always remained an island girl at heart. Kris will be remembered for her determination, optimism, compassion, sunny disposition, ready smile and infectious laughter. Those who had the fortune to cross her path in life are forever blessed. She loved gardening, hiking, camping, golfing and simply spending time with family and friends and dog Monty.
Kris is survived by her husband Arley, son Matthew, parents Ian and Judy, brother Erik, grandmother Marie, in-laws Graham and Janice Dalziel, in-laws Linda and Ian Dagenais, sisters-in-law Kellie (Scott), Kaitlin and brother-in-law Dustin, niece, nephew, aunts, uncles, cousins and her “bestie” Coral. She was predeceased by her infant son Kelsey, grandparents Harvey (Lois) Reynolds; aunts, Anne, Barbara and Shirley.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Mary Winspear Centre (2243 Beacon Ave, Sidney, BC) on Saturday, March 28, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. Condolences may be forwarded through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
