  2. Wilma M. Bittman :

My dear friend Martha, whom I have loved and admired through our relationship that began at St. Joseph’s church. To me you were always an example of strength of character. I was constantly amazed at your participation in events that required a strong and enduring faith. Your careful and lovely presentation of self and your ability to be present for so much in your private life was always an encouragement to me. Your spirit of determination seemed to know no bounds.
I enjoyed knowing you Martha and all the time we spent together sharing remembrances of your life and mine. You are a beautiful soul whom I have cherished as someone I believe is in a better place now. God Bless you, my dear, dear friend.

My condolences to your very dear family who always took such great care of you.

  5. I knew Martha through her contributions in the political arena. She was an avid supporter of Liberalism and was known as a doer, not a talker. She was one of those people who offered her assistance without any expectation of reward or compensation. She will be missed.
