On the afternoon of Remembrance Day, Monday, November 11, 2013, Laila Dabbagh passed away at home surrounded by her family just as she had wished.
Laila was born in Damascus, Syria in 1942. She was the loving matriarch of our family. Her presence so greatly felt will be greatly missed.
Laila leaves behind her constant companion and husband of forty-eight years Qais; daughters and son-in-laws Ghada June Dabbagh and Kevin Henderson, Hala and Nadher Butres, Maha and Bill Humphreys, Lubna and David Larsen; grandchildren Noor and Nowaar Butres and Portia and Declan Larsen. She was predeceased by her parents Fathlula and Zahoura Haddad.
Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S, Chapel of the Bells (2720 Centre Street North) on Friday, November 15, 2013 at 1:30 p.m. Graveside service to follow at Queen’s Park Cemetery.
