Cutter, Wallace (Mis a mi soh pski)

Wallace has gone home to be with the Lord and Creator after a courageous struggle with cancer.

Wallace attended the Crowfoot Residential School on the Siksika Nation. He obtained a diploma in Addictions Studies from Mount Royal College. He left Siksika Nation at the age of sixteen and he spent the majority of his life on the Blood Nation. After that he moved to Calgary and then he moved back to the Siksika Nation. He worked for the Siksika Health and Elder’s Lodge Security. He did his cursillo in 1994. Wallace was well-known for his tremendous sense of humour. He liked to joke around with the Elder’s Lodge staff, his in-laws especially his sisters-in-law and his family. He always extended his unconditional love. He belonged to the Horn and Brave Dog Society. The following were attributes of his personality, loving, caring, friendly, helpful, compassionate, encourager, generous and humble. Last but not least, he treasured and spoiled his granddaughter Santia. He thought the world of Santia.

He is survived by his loving wife Alvina Cutter (nee: Bear Chief) and his precious granddaughter Santia Medicine Shield whom he raised and cherished. His children, Shannon Bear Chief (Lyndin), Craig Bear Chief, Brandi Bear Chief (Joey), Nevan Bear Chief, Shannon Bird, Heather Black and Theron Black. His grandchildren: Tressa Lusty (Cory), Chrissy Daniels, Quarthon Daniels, Amil Bear Chief and Landon Bear Chief. His siblings, Melvin Drunken Chief, Judy Doore (Kenneth), Herman Cutter, Frederick Bear Shirt, Joe Sharpaze, Darlene Drunken Chief, Arlene Black Kettle (Alvin), Brian Drunken Chief (Maureen), Stewart Own Chief, Wayne Olds (Veronica), Stella Turning Robe, Rosabelle Haestie, Randy Turning Robe (Doreen), Geraldine Turning Robe and Frank Turning Robe Jr. (Trina). His Traditional family, Anne Marie, Lena, Dawn and Frederick Breaker. Wallace is also survived by his best friend Roy Bear Chief. His relatives: Drunken Chiefs, Breakers, Big Snakes, Stud Horses, Cutters, Melting Tallows, Bear Hats, Many Heads and Axes. Wallace was predeceased by his parents Fred Cutter and Jane Drunken Chief. The family apologizes if they have missed anyone else. The family would like to thank Dr. Muller, the Strathmore Hospital’s Acute Care Nurses and the Siksika Elder’s Lodge staff.

Wake Services will be held at the Gordon Yellow Fly Memorial Arbour (Siksika Nation, AB) on Thursday, April 21, 2005 at 7:00 pm. Funeral Services will be held at the Gordon Yellow Fly Memorial Arbour (Siksika Nation) on Friday, April 22, 2005 at 2:00 pm with The Rev. Margaret Water Chief, The Rev. Sydney Black and Bruce Wolf Child Presiders Graveside Service to follow at Paul Little Walker Cemetery,( Siksika Nation, AB) Forward condolences through
