  2. James Thomson :

My name is Jim Thomson – I grew up with Maurice (we called him “Mouse”) in Edmonton as kids. I lived on 68th Ave. and 109th St., and he lived, if I remember correctly, on 75th Ave and about 112th St. in South Edmonton. Mr. Curry had riding horses which he rented out to people all over the “South Side”. We both joined the Navy about the same time. I remember seeing him in Halifax before going overseas. I also remember he used to come over and help me dig our garden for my Mother. Avery good tried and true friend, as the saying goes. Sincerely, Jim.

  3. Shirley Roselle :

I’m from Scottsdale, AZ and remember every winter when Maurice would come to Shadow Mountain Village Mobile Home Park. He was soo well liked and joined in our little church choir in the Park and he USED to disrupt the rehearsals by (loudly) singing all his Irish Songs. He was a jokester and lots of fun to be around..He used to bike all around the Park and (selfishly) stop and visit some of the home-bound friends he had made. He was a good dancer and would dance with some of the single ladies knowing they had noone there to dance with..There’s LOTS I could add, but, mostly, I’m happy he died in peace…He deserved to leave us that way..God rest his soul….Shirley Roselle
