Condolence Messages

  1. Dear David, Lori, and family:
Please accept our sincere condolences at your loss of Ardele. My family (Norm, Dorothy, Bill, Gord, and Jane) have had great memories over the years of your mom and dad as being very close to our family. Although we’re not related, we all referred to your mom and dad as “Uncle Ross and Aunt Ardele”. We always had lots of laughs and always shared special family times at our house during various times of the year. Ardele always had a kind heart and was very kind to us, as was Ross. Until Ardele moved to Calgary, we always looked forward to seeing her over having dinner at mom and dad’s. She was always very encouraging and supportive of our success in life as we all hit life’s challenges along the way. She always made sure there was something extra under the Xmas tree for us and welcomed us into her home whenever we came to visit. I know she will be missed by all who know her and our hearts are with you during this sad time.
    Sincerely yours,
Mike, Diane, Peter, and Kendra Baker

  2. So saddened to learn of the passing of Ardele. My memories go right back to the time when I was a new arrival in Canada in December 1954, Ross and Ardele offered their friendship with visits to their apartment. This friendship continued after I married Wilma and worked with Ross at the Millhaven Fibres plant. We treasure the great times spent with the Bakers and the Cunninghams all those years ago.
    With Affection
    Brian and Wilma

  3. Al and Vonnie McIntosh :

Very sad to here of Aunt Ardele’s passing. A few years back when Ardele lived in Kingston she would visit our home in Ottawa for family Xmas gatherings as well as attended our daughter Monique’s wedding some 17 years ago. Even though Ardele had various health problems she would always go out of her way to travel many miles to be with us to share her warmth, her knowledge of family, along with her wit and charm that made her a very special aunt within our family circle. Aunt Ardele will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Our deepest sympathy to the Cunningham family!

  6. Dear David,Lori and family
We feel such a loss at the passing of Ardele who has been such a close and dear friend of our family for so many years; from when Ardele and Ross first arrived in Beloeil Que. in 1954 and our transfer together to Kingston Ontario in 1956. We fondly remember the many times we all spent together. We missed Ardele when she moved to Calgary and our visit with her there was a happy reunion. Our deepest condolences to you and your family.

Ardele, we miss your smile, your lovely singing voice, and your sense of humour.
    God speed on your journey.

Love Norm and Dorothy (Dot) Baker
